“My soul finds rest in God; my hope comes from him.” Psalm 62:5
Hope. It gives us comfort. Something to strive for. A peace that everything will be alright. Some days I wake up brimming with hope, just as the sunlight leaks through my blinds. But other days I have to search for it. It can seem like hope is covered in brambles I must push through in order to grasp it. Hope is a thread through my current favorite book of the Bible, the Psalms. I am constantly encouraged by reading them. David seems a lot like me…an impossible sinner who is saved by the tender grace of a God who shows Himself to David through art and nature.

“My faith journey with God has always been intertwined with creativity. A paintbrush or pencil has been in my hand since I was a little girl, and I finds it easiest to express life through painting and drawing. The meditative side of art helps me process through emotions, frustrations, joys and problems. My favorite times are with a paintbrush in one hand, and a cup of tea in the other. I work as a graphic designer and painter, loving the challenge of problem solving through creativity. I have two little munchkins that keep me on my toes and give me plenty of emotions to paint through 🙂 I have an awesome husband of 15 years who is also a creative soul. The beautiful beaches and mountains of my home in the Pacific Northwest provide endless inspiration for me.”
