21 Days of Prayer

On September 1st I committed to 21 Days of Prayer.

I don’t know about you, but life gets so busy around here. I found myself worn out, overwhelmed, and spread thin. I have two kids, ages 2 and 4, and they keep me busy to say the least. I also work full time from home with my essential oils business, and although I love it, I was spreading myself way too thin.

Today was Day 7 and I can’t even begin to tell you how much freedom I have found already. During this month I decided to make a few commitments:

  1. I vowed to not check my phone, messages, or emails until after I had spent time with my kids, eaten breakfast, and had done my morning devotion time with God.
  2. Each weekend I would take a true sabbath and not work for 24 hours.

These commitments may seem easy to you, but for me they are incredibly challenging. I have a team of almost 4000 people and my messages almost never stop. I am a bit of an overachiever and I never want to let anyone down. I have realized lately that I was not giving God control of my business or my life. I was trying to do it all myself and I just couldn’t do it anymore. These daily and weekly challenges are keeping me accountable and I am so thrilled with the results I am seeing.

The devotion I am doing is by my friend Monique Mclean. She wrote the 21 Days of Prayer devotion and you can grab yours here: 21 Days of Prayer. So far we have covered topics such as giving God control, healing from your past, catching a vision, and always growing. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you do, this devotional will change your life.

There is so much going on in the world right now and the most important thing we can do is GIVE GOD CONTROL. We need to trust Him in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to commit to 21 days of prayer and follow God with all that you have. He will answer you!
